Our first RESTART friendly match after we disbanded the team in September 2020 due to the CoViD-19 pandemic we played against ETHA Big Team, at their home arena in Makedonitissa. We had to start somewhere ... we took the win, but honestly it was a close match. It was kind of coach Makris of ETHA Big Team to give us the opportunity to play this friendly match, and we thank him.

Next we played our 2nd friendly match against the graduates of Kykkos B Lyceum ... it was our first match at our new "home court" ... the Agios Dometios Indoor Sports Arena. For years we had used the English School as our home court, but after CoViD-19 other teams had booked it and we were left to search for a new court. Fittingly, this home court is just 20m from the "Green Line" (demilitarized zone) so technically, we found the closest possible home court (distance-wise) to the city of Kyrenia ... so its a plus in that regards.

After Kykkos we played against a new elite team called "Hope Team" and their roster is made up 100% of asylum seekers from all over the world. The common denominator across the Hope Team roster, is that before war and conflict interrupted their lives, basketball was part of their day-to-day reality. We tried our best to play at their level, but they were amazing on the court, and we were bested.

Having lost heartily to Hope Team we proceeded to play against our main rival in the upcoming 2022 Summer Tournament, a team by the name of Pegasos ThinkColor. It took a buzzer beater, but we took the friendly match. Suffice it to say, in the tournament we lost to them three times.

Our last friendly match before the 2022 Summer Tournament in the 3rd Division we played against KEP-Dikefalos Geriou. We were not in good form, but unfortunately our opponent was in good form, and we lost the friendly match by 4 points. It was a thrilling friendly match, and we learned a lot about our strengths and weaknesses as a team because of this match.
